The company’s reputation is considered as its most valuable asset. If tarnished, you can lose clients and sales. What people respects is that you have admitted that you committed a mistake and sincere to make it right. That way, you may build confidence in your business motives and ethics.

We often take these bad comments as a personal attack to us. You can easily be put under public examination by the way you react to negative comments because of the fact that you represent your business. It is much better to write out a draft first, then leave it for a hours until you can review it in a more composed frame of mind, and soften any overly harsh words. After all, reading a few bad comments is better than doing deception as it cause lesser trust in business.
